The appeal in the Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Court against the rejection of bail by the Anti-Terrorist Court is set for Monday, 14-May-2012. The purpose of these demonstrations the day before is to make it clear to the colonial administration of Gilgit-Baltistan that even Pakistanis, in whose name they claim to rule the territory, reject their brutal, anti-people rule, and stand in complete solidarity with the Hunza Five.

The details of the demonstrations planned for Sunday, 13-May-2012 are as follows:

The organisers of the demonstration in Faisalabad, the Labour Qaumi Movement, will also highlight the plight of the nine trade unionists unjustly accused of terrorism by the capitalist clique that controls the local administration and courts.

The demonstration in Lahore will take the form of the occupation of the Bhagat Singh Chowk in Shadman from 5 to 7 PM.

All progressive groups and individuals across the country are invited to join hands with us to fight back against this oppressive colonial state and re-claim some measure of dignity and freedom.

Freedom for Ameer Khan, Rashid Minhas, Iftikhar Hussain, Amir Ali and Baba Jan!
